What do you personally find appealing about low profile sneakers, and why do you think they are having a moment right now? They’re lightweight, comfortable and have that perfect balance of sporty and sleek. I think they're having a moment because fashion is leaning more toward effortless, laid-back looks, and low profile silhouettes just work with that. With retro and minimalist styles coming back, people want something that feels timeless but still has a bit of edge.

What’s your number one tip for wearing sneakers in the summer? Always making sure your sneakers are clean, it always hits different in summer.

Do you ever go no-sock? No, because not wearing socks is a recipe for sweaty feet.

How do you keep your sneakers looking fresh? I clean them regularly, and apply water and stain spray repellent. I also store them in their box or on a shelf, out of direct sunlight, to prevent yellowing and fading.

How do you typically style your low profile sneakers? Do you dress them up, or down? It really depends on the style and colour of the shoe. If the shoe is colourful, I usually keep my outfit simple so the shoe can be the focal point.

How do you dress in summer generally? What are some of your favourite seasonal pieces? My go-to outfit during the summer is always something baggy and comfortable. I love wearing oversized tees or a flannel paired with baggy shorts or pants. A cap is definitely a must-have piece for me, it adds that perfect touch to complete the look.

What’s the last sneaker you bought for yourself? The Nike Shox R4 in ‘Racer Blue’. I couldn’t pass on them, the blue was drawing me in.

If money, time, and location were not an issue, what’s the one ‘holy grail’ sneaker you would snag? The Nike Air Yeezy 2 ‘Red October’.

What’s a dream sneaker collab you’d like to see? I would love to see a Nike x Needles collab for the Air Max 97 model.

What are you looking forward to sneaker-wise for the rest of 2025? I’m excited to see more colour and playful silhouettes. It feels like sneakers are becoming more of a statement piece again, which I love. I’m hoping to see bolder designs, unexpected materials and maybe even some fun collabs that bring something new to the table.
