Naomi Osaka has never shied away from showing the world who she is, even if that meant being vulnerable. Her career is enviable not only because of her legendary status, but for having forged a path fearlessly on and off the court. And now, her new collection with Nike reinforces Osaka’s appeal: she conforms to no one.

While other famous sports stars may want to embellish their collections with their achievements, Osaka keeps it low key. Her latest team up with Nike presents simplistic design that feels contemporary, with hints of sporting details taken from looks from the court. The range is equally minimalistic, narrowed down to: a tennis dress, half-zip sweater, short-sleeve button-ups and tennis skirts. All of which tick the box of wardrobe essentials; no more, no less.

Osaka is a living champion, decorated with seven WTA wins and counting, so the collection rightfully doesn't need to scream its head off. Instead, Nike has built on the star’s humble allure (see: her infamous 2021 tweet reflecting on her own imposter syndrome).
