Everybody knows that adidas’ DFB (Deutscher Fußball-Bund aka German Football Association) are some of the most iconic in the game. Many of them have been part of history on and off the pitch. Be it the 1996 home kit — yes, the one Oliver Bierhoff wore while scoring the first-ever ‘golden goal’ — or the vibrant pink 2024 away kit, the best-selling DFB away kit of all time. This month, the sportswear giant is back with another special design, celebrating a major milestone in football history: DFB’s 125th anniversary.

Naturally, such a historic occasion calls for historic anniversary kits, and adidas has delivered. The drop features four jerseys — two long-sleeved and a short-sleeved style for men and one short-sleeved version for women — all paying tribute to DFB and adidas’ rich past.

The unique logo on the chest immediately stands out, nodding to two iconic moments: The German Football Association’s founding at the restaurant ‘Zum Mariengarten’ in Leipzig, where the logo appears on a memorial plaque outside, and a famous photo of adidas founder Adolf Dassler wearing a half-zip featuring the same design.
