But every so often, a trend escapes the algorithm and makes it onto the street. ‘Blokette’ is one of them. Coined by podcaster Alexi Alario, the look — which dominated last summer — is a playful remix of TikTok’s ‘blokecore’: Think (football) jerseys styled with balloon skirts, ballet flats, bows, and all things cute.

Sure, some might say it’s played out by now. But honestly, the rise of sportswear in fashion only helped jerseys evolve from one-season wonder to wardrobe staple. And with the women’s European Championship on the horizon, there’s never been a better time to wear your favourite jersey off the pitch.
