If you were one of the many adidas stans hyped for the arrival of the Handball Spezial W, the first Handball Spezial women’s silhouette that dropped a few months ago, then brace yourself. We’re introducing two new takes on the footwear icon and they’re buttery-soft, premium quality and set to become a mainstay in your everyday rotation.
The adidas Handball Spezial has been a go-to for footwear fans since its debut back in the late ’70s. It’s a classic with roots in indoor sports (handball, as the name suggests) and plays a central role in adidas’ Spezial collection, which pays homage to the brand’s rich heritage and iconic designs.

The Handball Spezial W silhouette features a suede upper, a suede T-toe and a contrasting tongue with premium deco stitching, which eagle-eyes will spy acts as a subtle nod to the ’70s-inspired adidas x Wales Bonner collection.
The shoe arrives in two colourways — neutral shades of cream and stone, and cream and black. As always, the shoes are built upon a gum rubber sole, providing excellent traction on indoor surfaces, and boast the three stripes and the Spezial logo.
