For me, underwear is so much more than a piece of clothing that you wear under other clothing. It gives me strength, self-confidence and completes each of my outfits. It gives me the opportunity to express my style and contributes a lot to my well-being - whether lace, velvet, black, white or colourful, patterned or solid color, basic or trend pieces, sporty or elegant. Depending on the shape of the day and mood, I make my selection and ensure that I feel comfortable in my body - even when I do have a bad day. Underwear underlines the beauty and individuality of every body and is therefore much more than just a piece of clothing. Underwear is my daily companion and part of every outfit.
From ruffles to lace and crushed velvet to floral embroidery – this season’s lingerie looks are certainly ticking all our boxes. Whether your lingerie basics are in need of a revamp or that special night is looming ever closer, help is at hand in the form of our lingerie shop.
Although it might seem like the most basic of building blocks when it comes to piecing an outfit together, lingerie is where we can really get experimenting with colours and fabrics. This season, texture is the name of the game. And the more opulent the better. Think beautiful jacquard fabrics, intricate floral stitching or swathes of silky velvet. Look for longline bras with mesh panels or lacy cut-out detailing to really capture several features at once. Lace is an all-time favourite when it comes to lingerie - making its mark on everything from dainty bralets to French knickers. Go for classic black to partner with your evening wear or delve into jewel tones to channel this season’s trending colours.
With the latest love of all things athleisure, it was only a matter of time before the sports world made its mark on lingerie. This season, we’re seeing bras, leotards and bodysuits with sports-inspired features such as racerback fastenings, high necklines and elasticated underbust bands. Embrace the trend with a high-neck cotton bra and knickers set for a lingerie-meets-loungewear choice. Or if you’d rather not dive straight in, opt for a delicate lace triangle bras with a wide band underneath to marry the two styles together.
