Palms swaying gently in the wind, the sound of the sea, long nights with friends on the beach, singing around a campfire – the cult label Wildfox from Los Angeles is inspired by the hippies of the 1970s and their influence shows in their women’s and menswear collections. From rainbow coloured oversized T-shirts and Native American imagery to rock ‘n’ roll tank tops and trousers, Wildfox’s fusion of style and premium quality has made them a darling among Hollywood stars like Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Alessandra Ambrosio. Wildfox’s creative team comprises of Emily Faulstich and Kimberley Gordon, who have been close friends since childhood. When not working in their studio, the pair can be found raiding vintage boutiques for new ideas, especially ‘60s T-shirts and anything with a Native American vibe. The founder of the label is jazz saxophonist Jimmy Sommers, who has built up Wildfox into a globally successful high fashion label.
