The TBS story started in 1978, when BAYER and Technisynthèse (the manufacturer of TBS) came together to develop a new, ground breaking range of tennis shoes. TBS have since revolutionised sports shoes - they were the first company to incorporate orthopaedic concepts into the design of their sports shoes, including suspended arch support and shock absorbing air cushions in the heels. TBS now make shoes and apparel for tennis and running and are also well known for their waterproof sailing shoes with non-slip soles. In 2011, TBS reworked it's logo and relaunched the brand with a new flagship concept store in Tours - it's 16th TBS shop.
