In January of 1905 this label was officially registered as a shoe designer, manufacturer and shop, under the name of Quick at the time. In Hengelo, the Dutch province of Gelderland, Herman Jansen opened his business with a few self made shoes for the local football team. Jansens quickly found a particular taste for functional, yet elegant sports shoes which started off the Dutch brand’s successful career. Q1905’s great reputation for having a fine balance between sportiness and elegance is still remains today.
