In 1928, the leather craftsman Martin Picard founded the company Picard together with his sons Edmund and Alois in Hessian Obertshausen. The first sample collections, which were produced in the first years of Picard's history in the nearby town of Offenbach, were delivered by bike. Things have changed in the last 80 years. Now, Picard produces worldwide high quality leather goods with contemporary designs, and the brand is one of the leading bag manufacturers in Germany. Picard has also made a name for itself on the international market. Since 2008, the company has strengthened Germany's fashion industry, making the country into the production location for fashionable bags and accessories. With a successful men's business collection and a women's collection included in the brand's range of products, all bags by Picard are "Made in Germany", even up to the last seam.
