Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, started his climbing career in the mid 50s, at the tender age of 14. One day he decided to develop its own equipment and so he set up a small workshop in the backyard of his parent’s home in Burbank, north of Los Angeles. Here lie the roots of Patagonia.
