When in 1932 the operations of a small timber company in the town Künzelsau near Stuttgart, Germany weren’t really running well, family member Luise Hermann took up sewing. The "L. Kleiderfabrik” focused on the manufacturing of workwear. In 1948, the successful launch was crowned with an order that made it into fashion history books: the production of 300 pairs of jeans. That was the premiere of the jeans production on European grounds. In an adventurous action Liquors were exchanged for jeans of American soldiers - with it, the new patterns arrived. In 1958, the brand name "Mustang" was introduced. In 2007, the former home of Luise Hermann was transformed into a Mustang Museum, due to the fact that, in contrast to many others, Mustang jeans are a truly traditional brand!
