Lottusse was founded in 1877 as a handicraft business by the shoemaker Antonio Fluxà in Mallorca. Already in 1920, Antonio Fluxà started the first shoe production in Inca, Mallorca and in 1930, the brand name Lottusse was registered.Lottusse stands for craftsmanship inspired by the countryside of the Mediterranean Sea and the shoemaker tradition of the island. The name Lottusse comes from a sewing machine that the founder Antonio Fluxà bought in England at the end of the 19th century. The sewing machine was called Lotus, and this was how a brand of highest standard was born. The family business of Lottusse is now in its 4th generation. Lottusse is different to other brands because of its valuable mechanic processing. “Maestro” Antonio Fluxà was a pioneer of the Goodyear system of shoe production almost 130 years ago. The Goodyear process consists of 126 single steps and it takes about a week to produce one pair of Lottusse shoes.Since, many technological innovations have taken place, for instance the Goodyear “flex” where Lottusse combines the best characteristics of tradition and innovation. The goal of the Lottusse shoemaker is to inspire and brings joy to the people.
