The story behind the natural cosmetics brand Lavera began back in 1975, when founder Thomas Haase was on holiday at the Danish seaside. To protect his sensitive skin from the harsh effects of the sun, Haase created his own lip balm made from natural ingredients: beeswax, lanolin and olive oil. Encouraged by his success, Haase began to make other treatments, blending natural base ingredients with his own, homegrown organic plant extracts. In 1987, he founded Lavera. Lavera doesn’t use synthetic ingredients or artificial fragrances in their products and they don’t test on animals. Their wide range of skincare, hair care and cosmetics rely solely on the gifts of Mother Nature and are – quite naturally – organic certified.
