Four letters, three groups, two colors, one vision - as Gérard Legoff worked on his first collection for children in 1987, and he wanted to just let the fashion speak for itself and radically, without a name. X unfortunately was not accepted, so he chose the phonetic letter combination IKKS, which should leave space for its collection and the imagination of the customers. Later, in addition to the children’s fashion, fashion collections for men and women were created and he turned into a hit for the whole family. His revolutionary idea was actually the adventurous choice of colouring from just two main colors. Children's fashion was by then firmly in the hands of wild color combinations that Gérard Legoff did not want to see. Black and white with some gray tones was his vision of a better fashion for children and that is what he then put into practice. Children were suddenly chic and elegant, and Gerard Legoff has done nothing less than revolutionizing the fashion for boys and girls.
