  • Can I cancel my order?

    Did you order the wrong item or change your mind? Don't worry - as long as your parcel hasn't been packed in our warehouse, you'll have the option to cancel your order.

    To cancel your order, please follow the instructions below:

    • Please select the My Orders section in your customer account
    • Click on View/cancel order
    • Click on Cancel order if you would like to cancel your order or Remove item to remove an item. Please then follow the instructions on screen to complete the cancellation process

    Please note:

    • The Remove article or Cancel order options are only available until your parcel has been packed in our warehouse. If the remove and/or cancel options are no longer available, then unfortunately it is too late to amend or cancel the order
    • It is not possible to reverse a cancellation but you can place a new order at any time
    • If you have used a voucher when placing your order, you cannot cancel individual items and the only option is to cancel the entire order
    • It is not possible to make changes to your address once an order has been placed. If you would like to change the address, please cancel the order and make a new one with the correct address

    To find out your shoe size, you should measure your foot from the back of your heel to the tip of your big toe.

    The easiest way to do this is by drawing a straight line on a piece of paper and marking the place where your big toe ends and the back of your heel on the line (keep your socks on for this if you’ll be wearing them with these shoes) – then measure the distance between the two marks. Then simply look up your corresponding shoe size in the size chart. Do this for both feet, as they can be different sizes. If so, you should always order the size that fits your bigger foot to avoid them pinching.

    The height and width of a boot determine how high it will come up your leg and how it will fit around your ankle/calf. To see how high up the boots will sit, measure from the sole of your foot up your calf: a boot with a height of 29cm will come 29cm up your leg. The width is the widest part of the boot leg. To determine the width best suited to you, use a tape measure and measure around the fullest part of your calf.

    Alternatively, you can print out our handy shoe size template. Print it out on a piece of A4 paper. Don’t scale the image to fit the page, as this will distort the template. Stand on the template with your heel at the back of the image. Look at the size shown at the tip of your big toe.

    Please note that this table is intended only as a guide and can differ from manufacturers’ measurements. Shoes can sometimes differ from brand to brand by up to a whole size. Make your decision based on your own experience. It’s also worth reading through the customer reviews on the product site to see if other customers have commented on the fit.

    Boots

    Boots are shoes which cover the foot and extend up and over the ankle. Generally, boots – with the exception of ankle boots – extend up to the lower calf or higher. Boots are generally smart, classic pieces – optimally paired with equally classic outfits such as wool or tweed knee-length skirts. High boots tend to look good with shorter skirts, especially when teamed with thick woollen tights.

    Other Boots can offer a radically different look – they can be flat, tough and gutsy – Biker Boots and Uggs are great examples. There are varieties of boots to be worn with just about everything. Flat boots are best paired with shorter skirts – but avoid wearing them with delicate materials like silk or chiffon, which are generally too elegant for this kind of look.

    Ankle Boots

    Ankle boots are a subcategory of boots, and extend just up to the ankle. They can come with high heels or none at all. They tend to be smart – just avoid layered looks and oversized shirts if you’re wearing ankle boots with a skirt.

    Heels

    Heels tend to be wide-cut shoes which cover the whole foot. “Low heels” tend to have heels of up to 6cm, “mid heels” from 6 - 8.5 cm and true “high heels” have heels over 8.5 cm. Every woman needs a pair of smart black heels. They can be worn on every occasion, whether to a party or a job interview. Combine them with skinny jeans or a classic pencil or full-bodied skirt. Just make sure to follow these two rules when wearing heels: the higher the heel, the longer your skirt should be; and the wilder the shoes, the smarter the outfit!

    Sandals

    Sandals are shoes with straps to secure the foot, with or without a heel. They can be combined with almost any outfit. Leather sandals particularly suit hotpants, a floaty top and playful accessories – but look equally great with jeans or a pleated skirt. Just take care not to wear them with a pencil skirt. In the summer, you can combine pretty heeled sandals with even smarter outfits and fitted skirts – especially when you accessorise with a matching bag. Take care with high-heeled sandals: these are only for the well-practised, as thin straps don’t offer a lot of support and narrow, high heels can impede walking. If you’re not used to wearing them, you might be better off in a pair of wedges or sandals with a sturdier wooden heel.

    Ballerinas

    Ballerinas are flat slip-on shoes whose name references their likeness to ballet slippers. You can wear them to every occasion, as they really are available in every style imaginable. They’re also a great alternative to high heels. Nowadays, pretty ballerinas are often paired with cut-offs

    Trainers

    Trainers are sport shoes which are worn everyday rather than during sport. As a result, they tend not to resemble classic sport shoes, but, as practical sport-inspired street shoes, are still reminiscent of their original function. Trainers are almost always worn with jeans. If you team them with shorts in the summer, just remember to wear trainer socks or no socks at all.

    Moccasins

    Moccasins are soft, flat, slip-on shoes made of leather. They fit low on the foot and feature an extra piece of leather sewn onto the upper side. These shoes are currently experiencing a revival, and particularly suit the hippie/boho look with fringed hotpants and a tunic. Smarter moccasins can also be worn with cut-offs or a pencil skirt.

    Peep toes

    Peep toes are open-toed shoes – either flat or heeled; and a stylish all-rounder suited to everything from jeans to office wear. They guarantee a smart, super-feminine look. Platform peep toes are particularly eye-catching! Peep toes are a blessing for any woman self-conscious about her toes. With the narrow opening, they only reveal two or three toes and guarantee a neat, pretty look. Unlike sandals, they can also be worn with tights.

    Lace ups

    Lace ups are shoes with lace fastenings. Business shoes are probably the most popular kind of lace ups – but outdoor shoes and simple leather shoes are often lace ups too. Smart lace ups have established a place in women’s fashion for several years now – as part of a dandy look. Lace ups can be worn casually paired with a simple pair of skinnies or carrot-cut trousers.

    Loafers

    Loafers are light shoes similar to slippers, often worn in the summer without socks. They can be real eye-catchers in bright colours or as part of a nautical-style outfit – and look best worn casually, with cut-offs or a minidress.

    Which cards do you accept?

    At Zalando, you can easily and securely pay by card. We accept Mastercard and Visa, in addition to Maestro, Solo, Visa Electron and Visa Debit cards.

    When will my card be charged?

    Your card will not be charged until your order has left our warehouse. If you send goods back, the amount will be credited back to your card account.

    Are my card details safe?

    For your convenience, your payment details will be saved on our encrypted server. You can delete your card details after you have placed your order by logging in to your account and clicking on 'My Payment Methods'. Select 'Delete credit card' to remove your payment details from our database.

    Your card information is encrypted in our system using 128-bit SSL technology. This high standard of security means shopping with a card on Zalando is safe and secure, and ensures that your data will under no circumstances be accessible by third parties.     When will I be charged?

    Once the incoming payment is registered with us, your order will be processed. PayPal payments are usually confirmed within a few minutes.

    What sort of payment confrimation will I receive?

    If you are paying via PayPal, you will receive an order confirmation which also contains the link to your PayPal payment. If for some reason, the payment process is interrupted, this link offers you the chance to reprocess your payment with PayPal. However, please note that after three hours, payment via PayPal is no longer possible.

    Can I pay by PayPal without creating an account?

    You also have the option to pay via PayPal, and can do so, without even creating a PayPal customer account. In order to do this, select PayPal as your preferred payment method during checkout, and at the end of the ordering process you will be directed to PayPal. If you are already a PayPal customer, you can log in with your user data and confirm the payment. However if you are new to PayPal and would prefer not to create an account, then simply select the option ‘Don’t have a PayPal account?’ (highlighted below) and you can confirm the payment as a PayPal guest.

    What happens if I make a return?

    If you send goods back, the amount will be credited to your PayPal account.   • How long will it take to receive my order?

    If you place your order with us before 8pm, we will start processing it on the same day. Delivery generally takes 3 – 6 working days if the delivery address is in mainland Great Britain. Certain more remote areas may require additional delivery time.

  • What are my delivery options?

    You can choose between two delivery methods: home delivery or delivery to a pick-up point.

    Home delivery is the standard delivery option, with the parcel being delivered to the address of your choice. This could be your billing address or another address (such as your work address). You will have the option to specify this address during the order process.

    As part of our partnership with Hermes, we are pleased to also be able to offer delivery to any Hermes ParcelShop of your choice from a UK-wide network. The ParcelShops are located in corner shops, supermarkets or newsagents near you and are open from early until late, usually at least six days per week, allowing you to collect your parcel at your own convenience. Once they have your parcel, you will receive an SMS notification – all you need to bring with you is some ID.

    During the order process you will be given the option of home delivery or delivery to a ParcelShop. Both options are of course completely free of charge.

    Home delivery is the standard service where you can have your order delivered to your home address, or any other address that you specify during the order process.

    Delivery takes place between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Saturday.

  • Pick-up points

    During the checkout process, you will be given the option of having your parcel delivered to your local Hermes ParcelShop. The ParcelShops are located in supermarkets, corner shops and newsagents and have extended hours, allowing you to pick up your parcel at a time that is convenient for you. To take advantage of this option, we will require your mobile number (which we will ask for during the checkout process) as this is how you will be contacted to say that your parcel is ready for collection.

    To collect your order, you will need to take some ID with you. As proof of ID, the ParcelShops accept a passport, a photo driving license, a debit/credit card, or a recent utility bill. Please understand that without your ID, you will not be given your parcel. This is to protect our customers and we apologise if this inconveniences you.

    Your parcel will be held in the ParcelShop for up to seven days, after which time it is returned to us. Once we have received the parcel back, you will be refunded for your order.

  • Do you offer express delivery?

    Yes, we do! Say hello to express delivery with DHL Express. At an additional cost of £10.95, your desired product can be with you within 1 day* of your order leaving our warehouse. Simply select express delivery in the checkout when placing your order.

    • Express delivery is only possible for orders containing one product. This service is not available for partner products
    • We offer this service to addresses in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Express deliveries cannot be sent to pick-up points. We are unable to provide express delivery to some postcodes
    • Deliveries are made Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays
    • You can use the following payment methods: credit card, PayPal and gift vouchers
    • Check the status of your expedited delivery by logging into your customer account
    • If the DHL express courier doesn’t reach you on their first delivery attempt, they will leave a note in your letter box. Follow the instructions on the card to rearrange delivery with DHL
    • If you place an order early in the day (before 1pm), you will receive your product 1 day after it leaves our warehouse. The estimated delivery is displayed in the checkout when placing your order. For some postcodes delivery may take longer; you will be made aware of this at the checkout.

  • How do I return a product?

    Below you'll find our instructions on how to return a product. It makes no difference whether you received your order by regular or express delivery, our returns process is the same.

    • Log into your customer account
    • Log into your customer account at www.zalando.co.uk. Click ‘Return Item’ and read the instructions. Click on ‘Return your products now’ and select the items you wish to return, indicating the reason for returning them.

    • Place the item(s) in their original packaging into a box/package* along with the return label and attach the return label to the outside.

    • Take your package to a Hermes ParcelShop – returns are free of charge.

      Use the postcode search at www.myhermes.co.uk/parcelshops to find the ParcelShop nearest to you (see the screenshot below). Please remember to get a receipt and to keep it in a safe place – this is your proof of postage.

    If an item is damaged or defective, you can file a complaint with us. To process this, we would need:

    • A brief description about how the damage/defect has arisen.
    • 4-5 informative pictures, with a desciption, for documentation purposes. The defect must be clearly visible on at least one of the images. In addition, we would need complete photos of the product e.g. one from the front and one from the back. If the item is a shoe, we also require a picture of the sole.

    You can send the pictures via email to reclamation@zalando.co.uk. We kindly recommend you to use either ZIP, RAR or JPEG format when sending your pictures. Once we receive the photos, we will review your request as quickly as possible. You will receive feedback from us within a few days on how to proceed.

    We are unable to accept reclamations for the following defects:

    • Scuffed noses of shoes due to every day usage
    • Damage to the heel of a shoe
    • Damage due to incorrect or intense usage
    • Increased perspiration
    • Colour transfer (i.e. jeans colouring socks blue)
    • Bobbling of the fabric
    • Damage due to external factors, such as friction, sharp objects or chemicals
    • Articles that cause physical discomfort i.e. blisters

  • How can I tell if a product is a partner product?

    To see if a product is a partner product, simply go to the product detail page and click on the size you want. If it is, a short text will appear beneath 'free shipping and returns' which states 'Supplied and shipped by partner: …'.

    Partner products are also listed seperately in the shopping bag view.

  • What is the difference between ordering a product that is supplied by a partner rather than directly by Zalando?

    Thanks to our Partner Programme we are able to offer an even wider range of products and higher levels of availability - from shoes to clothing, accessories to sports gear. The only difference is that partner products are sent to you directly by our partners. If you have a combination of items in your order from Zalando and from a partner, these will come to you in separate packages.

  • How do I go about returning an item?

    If something doesn't fit or you don't wish to keep it, free returns are also provided by our partner. The service provided by our partners is the same as the service provided by Zalando.

    To ensure you get your money back as quickly as possible it is very important that you return partner products back to the respective partner. Please print your returns label by logging into your customer account on www.zalando.co.uk. For more information, please refer to the 'Returns and reimbursement' section of the FAQs.

    If you have received products from both Zalando and from a partner and you are not satisfied with them, please make sure to send the partner products back to the partner and the Zalando products back to Zalando. Returns labels can be printed from your customer account at www.zalando.co.uk

  • Can I use discount vouchers and gift vouchers to purchase partner products?

    Gift vouchers can be used across the whole website, including on partner products. Discount vouchers cannot be used to purchase partner products. More detailed information regarding the redemption of vouchers can be found in the 'Voucher' section of the FAQs.

  • What payment options are available to me?

    The methods of payment do not change. Simply place the products you wish to buy in the shopping basket and you can then choose any of the secure payment methods that www.zalando.co.uk offers.

    After you have placed your order you will receive a confirmation email, which includes the status of your order and other details. For every order you will also receive a tracking number which you can use to track your package.

  • Are you extending your returns policy for Christmas?

    Absolutely! For all orders placed in December there will be a 90 day return policy. This means that you can send any item ordered in December back to us free of charge within 90 days of the order being placed.
