Esprit was born from the idea of Susie and Douglas Tompkins, who started to sell clothing out of trunk of their car in1968 - by the seventies, Esprit had already established seven product lines, which laid the foundation for their later success. Also known since its early years, is the world-famous, triple-bar "E" logo that was designed in 1979 by John Cassado that still labels all Esprit products.
