Charles Jourdan are a French design label that have earned international fame for their women’s shoe designs. The shoe makers had their own workshop in 1919 in the French town of Romans. With their excellent creations and involved manufacturing methods, Charles Jourdan have found their place on the top rung of haute couture. After the designer’s death, Jourdan’s sons took over the business, which further excelled as a brand for exquisite, luxurious women’s shoes. Today, Belgian designer Josephus Thimister presides over the creative design at Charles Jourdan, having already been declared one of the best designers of the 21st century by American Vogue and he is set to beguile the rest of the world with his poetic, surrealist-influenced creations.
