The company AKU started 30 years ago in a small town of Italy. During the war, self-made man Galliano Bordin started a small shoe repair in Montebelluna. From there, the Italian entrepreneur has reached a milestone for shoe technology with his AKU footwear for outdoor use. With enthusiasm, innovation and high quality standards, AKU managed to get to the very top and is now one of the leading manufacturers in Europe for outdoor shoes. To date, there are two important production areas of AKU, one is still in Montebelluna with 55 employees, and since 2002 AKU also resides in Romania with over 200 employers.
